Key Accountabilities: • Assists the Curator, Assistant Curator, Supervisor and Aquarist in maintaining the highest level of quality as it relates to the aquarium’s public and exhibit image. • Follow established written standards and protocols for all exhibits to ensure the highest standards for water quality, operational efficiency, cleanliness and animal health • Daily activities related to cleaning, maintenance, feeding and other husbandry activities required on a day-to-day basis, including routine checking of all aquarium exhibits and LSS areas. • Report issues and assist in the development of actions to rectify any faulty equipment or problems, in particular identify animal health or water quality problems and report to supervisor, medical and water quality staff and assist to implement a plan of action to handle the care and treatment of affected animals. • Maintain all curatorial areas so they are safe and clean. • Deliver extraordinary customer service to all aquarium guests and other customers • Diving as required including maintenance diving, performance diving and feedings, following company diving safety protocols and procedures and performing tasks to schedule and to an appropriate quality. • Maintaining documentation and databases for diving, livestock (animal health and behavior, acquisitions and mortalities), water quality, etc, where asked. General: • Ability to maintain daily contact with a living collection of plants and animals in a varied building climate. •Coping with demands (stresses that are associated with the job and/or the work environment) so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained • SCUBA Diving. • Sitting (2 hours per day) • Typing on a computer keyboard • Walking (5 hours per day) • Swimming (1 hour per day) • Bending/Stooping —Frequently • Squatting —Frequently • Crawling — Occasionally • Climbing heights (4m) —Frequently • Reaching above shoulders —Frequently • Crouching — Occasionally • Kneeling —Frequently • Balancing —Frequently • Carrying (up to 25 kg.) — Occasionally • Lifting (up to 25 kg.) — Occasionally • Ability to conduct field work in collection and research • Flexibility in working weekends and evenings • Flexibility in working holidays • Available for on-call emergencies

Qualification:
• A higher school degree in Biology, preferably Marine Biology or Oceanography
• Open Water SCUBA certification from a recognized training agency an advantage.
• Computer skills an advantage
• Current Thai driving license an advantage
• Spoken and written conversational English a must.

Experience:
• Some experience in maintaining an aquarium an advantage.
